Apologies to those who may already have received this; due to an apparent bug in our announce script we're having to post this again.
The previously announced upgrades of our servers have now been scheduled:
Aira - 10PM Tuesday November 11th to 2AM Wednesday November 12th
Skiddaw - 10PM Wednesday November 12th to 2AM Thursday November 13th
Previous experience suggests the upgrades will take a maximum of two hours, however to be conservative in case of issues, and in order to undertake general maintenance at the same time, we have scheduled 4 hour long maintenance windows for both nights.
The upgrades will consist of the following:
PHP4 will be removed completely
PHP5 will be updated to the latest version
MySQL will be upgraded to the latest version of MySQL5.x
Apache will be upgraded to the latest version of Apache2.x
